SCARLET HARLOTS
Birmingham based punk-steppers Scarlet Harlots (myspace) have evidently been making some pretty big waves. Now I don’t pretend to anything about anything, but if Lauren Laverne looked at me like that… And I challenge you to name another band that could make Montel Jordan’s ‘This Is How We Do It’ sound this grimey. Anyway, if any of you caught Raffertie’s (myspace) mix for Mary Anne Hobbs on Radio 1 the other week then you would have heard his remix of ‘Backlash’. Now featuring a super special vocal from Shifty Moova, the band have said that I can give this to you lucky lot for free.
